I am first and foremost a mom of 2 beautiful daughters ages 11 and 13 and married to my husband for over 15 years.  I previously owned 2 dance studios where I had the joys of teaching for 14 years.  Dance was and is still part of what makes my heart beat.  But owning 2 businesses once I had a family was not for me anymore.  Letting go of my studios was one of the hardest decisions of my life.  But being with my family for dinner and not being gone every night and every weekend is not something I would ever give up now.  I am fortunate to be able to coach our local Varsity Dance team and judge dance competitions nationwide.  Just enough to make me happy and keep my feet in the dancing world.

When I started Thirty-One I was what they called a kit napper and was in it for the $99 kit and discount.  Never could I have imagined that this would be way more than bags for me (although all the free bags I can dream of is pretty amazing!).  I have been able to pay our mortgage every month, save for a trip to Disney and still have the stay at home mom feel.  This job allows me to still go to all of my children’s activities after school and day things like field trips.  The support from my team under and above me is amazing.  I have gained friendships that I will value a lifetime!  I am blessed that this is now my career and that I will continue  moving up the ladder.  But what I love most about this business is that it can be whatever you make of it.  If you want a new career like me you can do it.  If you want just one night out a month to get out of the house you can have it.  If you want to save for a trip, or an addition you can do it.  Whatever you want the sky is the limit the opportunities are endless!

My Why changes from time to time but it’s roots are always going to be based around my family.  I am so glad that I have found my why in life and what I want to be when I “grow up”  a NED (National Executive Director).  But with that I want this to be a way for me to make enough money for my kids to find their “why” in life and even my husband.  I want to be able to support my family completely to find their “happy” and to have a career that makes their heart happy like me.  And I know that Thirty-One will provide those opportunities for me and my family.

I am so blessed to have found what I want to be when I grow up…..not just a purse lady….a leader, a friend, a role model, a virtuous woman…….
